The reviews are in and everybody is raving about Kleancolor Nail Lacquer. Aliasmisskat of Jezebel advised that: I picked up Kleencolor Nail Lacquer in Sapphire on a whim at a little boutique in West Lafayette, and I freaking love it. The consistency is perfect. Not too thin (I'm looking at you, China Glaze) and not gloppy (I'm looking at you, most drug store brands). It's earned nearly the same level of love as I have for OPI.

Kleancolor is available at Super Beauty for $1.49. Pick up a bottle this weekend durring our Memorial Blowout sale!!!

Quick Tips on Black Hair Care

A Little TLC
All hair takes a certain amount of care and love to be healthy and beautiful. However, ethnic hair tends to be a bit more temperamental and requires additional steps. Taking the time to understand the differences between ethnic, or black, hair, and European hair textures is important for both hair stylists and consumers. Products and hair care techniques are not made equal, and the informed consumer is the happy consumer.

A Different Version of Clean
Non-black or ethnic hair textures typically hold oil within their strands a bit easier; therefore washing becomes a daily or bi-daily activity. However, with black hair everyday washing risks stripping the hair of essential oils needed to be healthy and shiny, and leads to dry hair. Black hair needs to only be washed every 5-7 days, depending on the relative level of oil left in the hair. Some people might feel that this leaves the hair open to dirt and flakes. However, dirt tends to take longer to form in ethnic hair textures because of the oil deficit in the hair follicle. Finding the right hair washing rhythm for you is important to ensure continued hair health.

Just Relax
Some people with black hair prefer to apply a relaxer to reduce tight curls for a more manageable straight strand. However, this process can be very difficult on the hair and causes considerable damage, especially excessive breakage and dryness.

Growing Your Hair Out
Black hair is slower to grow than other types of hair. Therefore it is important to massage the scalp and use products to promote a healthy scalp. Products containing olive oil, petroleum oil, and other natural oils stimulate the follicle and promote a healthy growth pattern. Black hair is typically more dense, so it has a more difficult time absorbing the oil from the scalp, which is necessary to promote continued growth.

To Heat or Not
Heat is often very detrimental to many hair types. However, for people with black or ethnic hair textures, it can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Most people with ethnic hair textures have figured out that a little heat can often leave the hair looking beautifully straight and shiny. However the damage caused to insufficiently moisturized hair by heat can leave it extremely dry and brittle.

Puting Georgians Back to Work

We hired over 40 employees from the Atlanta area most residing in south Fulton. We are proud of our efforts to put Georgians back to work! The Most recent article about Super Beauty entitled Store reflects recovery in the area written by Bill Baldowski of neighbor newspaper. Exhibits one of our valued new customer’s reactions and our enthusiasm to be
one of Greenbriar Malls newest tenants. We are excited about future endeavors and community relations we have planed as our store awareness grows. Super Beauty looks forward to a long partnership with Greenbriar and the Southside of Atlanta!

Store Reflects Recovery In Area by Bill Baldowski

Camp Creek Parkway resident Rachel Brewster walked into the new Super Beauty store at Greenbriar Mallm and immediately stopped in her tracks. She glanced around and began to go down one aisle before turning around and starting down another and then a third.

“There is so much here, it’s pretty well overwhelming,” she said. “It pretty well blows me away.”

That has been the general consensus of customers visiting Super Beauty, Greenbriar’s newest tenant, which recently opened inside the 35,000 square-foot, free-standing building which formally held the Circuit City store. The building has been vacant since Circuit City closed in 2008.

According to Bobby Scott, the store manager, this is the first Super Beauty to open outside Florida, where the company has five locations around Orlando. He said store officials were impressed by the revitalization of Greenbriar, including reopening of the former Magic Johnson Theater as the Revolution Cinemas and the mall avoiding foreclosure due to new foreign investment.

Scott also said the commercial economic development on the southside, such as that in and around Greenbriar with the grand opening of the new Revolution Cinemas and the second phase of the Camp Creek Marketplace development, is a reflection of a strong residential base that has begun to reappear in the area.

“People are starting to purchase homes again in this area, despite the southside economy, and the country’s economic situation,” he said.

“Super Beauty wanted something on the southside, and with the strong support of the Greenbriar Mall management and support of the community, we have really enjoyed our being in this area and look for a long partnership with Greenbriar and the southside.” Scott said.

Scott added that, with the store being at Greenbriar and most of their 40 employees coming from south Atlanta, “we are proud in our efforts to put Georgians back to work.”

What Hair Color Is Right For You????

When it comes to choosing hair color, you should consider what shade will enhance your overall look and what type of treatment works best for your hair texture. While your ideal hair cut style depends on your face shape, your hair color should be based on a combination of factors including your natural hair color, eye color, and skin tone. The most important of these is your skin tone. You’ll look best in a hair color that complements your natural skin tone.

Remember to consider how much upkeep you can live with, and make sure you have the time and the budget to maintain your new look. For example, a color that’s quite different from your natural shade requires a touch-up every four to six weeks.

Once you have a hair color you like, you’ll want to keep it in its original shade as long as possible. You should avoid sun, salt water, and swimming pool chlorine for the first 48 hours after coloring. After that, you should use shampoos and conditioners specially formulated for colored hair.
